Due to popularity, we’ve added a new Introduction to Letterpress workshop Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 of April - less than two weeks away!Introduction to Letterpress Wednesday 24 & Thursday 25 April 2013 Two Days, 11am–5pmhttp://www.eventbrite.co.uk/event/6270546373/eorg This introduction course is suitable for all levels, including beginners. Students will be guided through the letterpress process and receive a brief history and overview of common terms used. Students will learn hand typesetting in both lead and wooden type, how to lock up your work into a forme, selecting paper stock, choosing and mixing inks and how to set up the press. On completion of this workshop, students will take home their own letterpress-printed broadsides. Students who have completed the two-day Letterpress course at LCBA will be entitled to rent press time during Equipment Rental Days.
